Mino Bimaadiziwin Childrens' Support Program
The Mino Bimaadiziwin Program provides community-based and culturally relevant programs and services for children, youth and their caregivers who have experienced violence and unhealthy relationships in the home or community.
Mobile Health Unit
The Mobile Health Unit, offered by Central Community Health Centre, is a clinic on wheels that brings accessible, barrier-free healthcare directly to communities in Elgin County. Services include primary care, chronic disease management, mental health support, and connections to community resources. The Mobile Health Unit operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Please see the link for the current schedule and locations. All services are free, with no appointment or referral required.
Mood Disorder Association of Canada's Hope+Me
Offers free peer-support groups, one-to-one mentoring and clinical programs for people living with mood disorders (depression, anxiety or bipolar) and their families across Ontario.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Canada's Peer Support and Support Groups
Offers free in-person and virtual peer support groups for individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families, plus a one-to-one peer-mentoring program.
Munsee Community Health Centre
The Health Centre provides health promotion and preventive services across the lifespan for community members of Munsee Delaware Nation. The department focuses on immunizations, health education, and prevention initiatives related to maternal health, chronic disease prevention, communicable diseases, diabetes management, and other priority health areas. Services are delivered using a culturally safe, community-based approach to support the holistic health and wellbeing of the Indigenous community.
Munsee-Delaware Nation - Health Services
Health centre with services provided by community workers. Community-led health teams develop programs to improve the social supports and conditions that affect long-term health. Culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous people, combining traditional healing and Western medical practices.
Nalgona Positivity Pride
A Black, Indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC)-focused organization offering free online peer-support groups and workshops for eating-disorder awareness, body liberation, and positive body image.
Naloxone Kits and Training
Get a free naloxone kit if you're at risk of opioid overdose or know someone who is. Kits are available at multiple pharmacies and community-based organizations in Elgin County. Contact Southwestern Public Health for training.
