Steady & Strong: A Falls Prevention Group
This education session focuses on the importance of preventing falls in order to stay safe and independent in your own home. We provide information about how and why falls occur, strategies to manage a fall if it happens, and how falls can be prevented in your home and community so that you can live in the place of your choice without losing your quality of life.
STEGH Diabetes Education
Our Dietitian and Registered Nurse are Certified Diabetes Educators who assist clients diagnosed with: Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes with an A1C >8% and are currently using insulin, Gestational diabetes, Prednisone Induced Hyperglycemia. Our team provides education and support to persons with diabetes in group settings and individual appointments. You can access the Diabetes Education Centre by referral from your family physician or nurse practitioner.
STEGH's Inpatient Program
Provides 24/7 care for individuals requiring acute psychiatric support, including stabilization, crisis intervention, medication management, and therapeutic programming within a secure hospital setting.
STEGH's Outpatient Services - Group Psychotherapy
A program offering free, structured group-therapy sessions for adults dealing with mental-health challenges, focusing on skills and support for coping, emotional regulation and recovery. Healthcare provider referral required.
STEGH's Outpatient Services - Individual Counselling
Provides one-on-one therapy sessions for adults experiencing mental-health concerns, offering personalized support, coping tools and referral to further treatment as needed. Healthcare Provider Referral Required.
STEGH's Psychiatry Assessments
Outpatient psychiatric assessments at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for adults (18+), offering medication review and treatment recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary mental-health team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and psychologists.
Steps to Justice
A free, user-friendly legal information website for Ontario residents, offering step-by-step guides, checklists, fillable forms, and self-help tools for common legal issues (e.g., housing, family law, employment).
St. Joseph's Healthcare Elgin Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT)
Specialized, intensive community-based mental health teams serving adults (18-65) with severe, persistent illness, offering medication management, daily living support, crisis intervention, wellness education, addiction help, vocational and recreational support to promote stability, independence, and quality of life.
Strongest Families Institute
Provides evidence-based, coach-led mental health programs online and by phone for children, youth, and families.
