Dream On: CBT for Insomnia
An interactive education session focusing on cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTi), which offers a non-medication approach to help get your sleep back. CBTi aims to help break old habits and patterns that interfere with sleep and replace them with new approaches that bring on sleep naturally. CBTi is officially recommended as the initial (or “first line”) treatment of insomnia.
Drug and Alcohol Counsellor
The Drug and Alcohol Counsellor supports Indigenous individuals and families affected by substance abuse, offering culturally relevant counseling, referrals, and support groups to promote healthier lifestyles and recovery.
East Elgin Family Health Team
A team-based primary care clinic that offers services led by family doctors, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals to support individuals and families in East Elgin.
Eastwood Baptist Church
A community outreach program offering free gently used clothing and basic household goods to individuals and families in need, helping to reduce material barriers and support financial stability.
Elgin Community Health Hub
Provides integrated, team-based primary health care including mental health screening, counselling referral, and community support services for people without a a family doctor or nurse practitioner. You do not need to be a patient of the Thames Valley Family Health Team to book an appointment.
Elgin Community Health Hub: Pop-Up Cancer Screening Clinics
The Elgin Community Health Hub offers free pop-up cancer screening clinics for eligible individuals, including cervical, breast, and colorectal cancer screening. Appointment bookings available by calling their number.
Elgin Community Support Services Network
Offers mental health related support for adults and seniors, including peer groups, social engagement programs, and resources to promote emotional well-being and resilience.
Elgin Community Support Services Transportation Services
Elgin CSS provides transportation, including rides to medical appointments, social activities, errands, and shopping * escorting services available
Elgin County Youth Homelessness Protocol
For youth 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Access to 24/7 emergency shelter.
